Traditional workshops play a vital role alongside the Digital Manufacturing Centre by complementing and extending the scope of what can be achieved. Metropolitan Works currently have access to the University’s excellent workshop facilities which include the former London College of Furniture’s wood-mill and The Cass’ extensive silversmithing and jewellery resources. This allows us to offer a range of traditional bureau services including finishing, pressing and forming.

In Spring 2009 the Metropolitan Works team will move into a new purpose built Centre just behind Commercial Road. The new Centre will provide an additional 1000sqm of space for a machine hall, workspaces, and extensive CAD facilities – all available for hands on use by Metropolitan Works’ members.
